We all know ADHD can occur with other medical and mental health conditions and when that happens all kinds of challenges are there for the students, families, and schools. But if we are talking about ADHD and gifted students, also called "twice-exceptional" or 2e, how can that be a problem? How can a student be gifted and still have learning or attention problems? It is possible for children to be both and to have a tough time in school. Their parents face many of the same difficulties that other ADHD parents have along with their own special set of issues that require them to find professionals who have knowledge about "twice-exceptional" or 2e kids.

During our discussion we will: 1) look at the special needs of 2e students, 2) examine the seven myths about twice-exceptional learners, 3) review five tips for parents of gifted children with ADHD, and 4) look at the resources and support services that are available for 2e students, parents and teachers.

Our group is informal and each event has diverse participants who work in a variety of professions: health care, mental health care, education, life coaching, and college & university support services just to name a few. Seating is available on a first come first serve basis and is limited to a maximum of 20 participants. If you would like to check us out we encourage you to attend using our one-time Free Guest Pass.

Please join us on August 5th. We look forward to seeing you!

PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO COVID-19 THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. AT THIS TIME WE HAVE NO PLANS FOR A MAKEUP EVENT. PLEASE EMAIL US IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR REQUIRE FURTHER INFORMATION. THANK YOU.
